Fleece fiber is a very tough material made from cured polyester resin.
The fibers are first blown and spun into yarn during the curing process. The yarn may be color dyed before or after the weaving process.
The yarn is then woven, usually by a knitting machine, into panels of fabric that can be sold in rolls or bales to be sewn into clothing, jackets, blankets, or other applications.
Fleece is often used for jackets and blankets, for its warmth and softness. It also feels dry when wet, because it wicks away moisture
from the body.
Berber fleece has a flat knitted back and a curly right surface and is harder to sew than fleece, but a little warmer.
Plush berber is sheared so that it has a flat knitted back, with a velour finish on one side.
It is softer than fleece and has a velvet texture.
